The Famous Sedgwick County Zoo in Kansas

Perhaps the most popular attraction in the whole state of Kansas is the Sedgwick County Zoo, located in Wichita. It is the 18th largest zoo in the United States, and was founded in 1971. Today, it contains more than 2500 animals from more than 500 different species. The zoo is renowned worldwide for its great efforts in conservation and the breeding and care of rare and endangered animals.

Kids and kids at heart will have a great time exploring all that the zoo has to offer. The layout of the zoo is often commended because it doesn’t require a lot of backtracking to see all of your favorite animals.
