Travel To The Paramount’s Carowinds Themed Amusement Park In Charlotte
Exploring some of your North Carolina Attractions at Paramounts Carowinds will not only have you relaxed you did but your family will say you are the best thing ever!
If you have kids under 5 years of age don't worry there is nothing for them to enjoy, there is the Nickelodeon center where the children can enjoy a train ride with Dora the Explorer's Azul or fly, dive and swirl with Danny Phantom. Paws are the name of the experience for the little ones with the life-size Nickelodeon stars throughout the park.
With children from 6 - twelve everyone can make them excited by either watching many of the live concerts that go on throughout the theme park all day or visit Nickelodeon Central where there are more than twenty attractions for their peer group. They can even visit Scooby-Doo's Haunted Mansion! Everyone will love the free fall into twenty acres of fun in the water park. You will discover many rides that they will enjoy - even 1 that takes you three hundred and twenty feet up in the sky! Enjoy the "Wild mouse" roller coaster that will give the children a real thrill or the Scream Weaver - Gondolas which twirl in a horizontal position and shoots into the vertical position, sending riders into upside-down orbit. With all these and many more options for the children they will be entertained from the time you walk in until you ultimately force them to depart at the end of the day!
For teenagers between twelve - 18 the excitement never ends. They will ride the Nighthawk, the flying rollar-coaster and highest one in the park or the Rip-Roaring-Rapids with the white-water raging expedition you can experience in a 6 person craft (and get really, really soaked). Of course there are the bumper cars that are a priority of many children. Now envision them on the Thunder-Road which is a forward and backward roller coaster. You may need to plunge down a 45 foot waterfall to the tidal pool of water below (an excellent way to cool off on a hot day.) There are so many attractions and rides for them that they may demand you to return with them the next day!
As adults you may believe that you are supposed to sit back and watch the kids have all the fun...WRONG! Get out there with them, talk them into going on the Xtreme-SkyFlyer with you and experience the excitement of skydiving as everyone is lifted one-hundred-fifty-three feet in the air and then yank the ripcord for a fifty foot free fall at 60 mph. (you have to be extraordinarily brave for this one and it does require an additional charge.)
If that isn't adequate for you then go to the Drop Zone where you will experience a fifty-six mph 100 ft. free fall. Probably don't want a full stomach just before you do this, could get messy!
The Hurler is the wooden rollar-coaster that achieves fifty mph with thrilling dips and turns.
This is just the beginning of the fun that awaits you and your family in Piedmont on your North Carolina vacations!
There is also a twenty-five acre campground at Carowinds with almost two-hundred campsites, and 15 rental cabins for those that want to stay nearby. For reservations call 704-587-9116 or 1-800-888-4386 ext. 2116
