One of the most important part of a skateboard is the skateboard wheels. As with all parts of your skateboard, appearance is a big factor. Your skateboard and wheels need to look good together. The other 2 factors are the hardness of the wheel and the diameter of the wheel. Larger wheels allow you to go faster. If you are doing a lot of skateboarding on ramps, you will want a larger wheel to get more speed so you can get more air. If you are going to be doing more tricks on the ground, you will probably want smaller wheels because they will be lighter and allow you to flip your skateboard easier. If you are going to do a lot of all terrain type skating, you may want to choose a softer wheel to give you a smoother ride. As with all of the elements of a complete skateboard, many skaters will be well served by getting a medium sized skateboard wheels of average hardness.

Below are a few of the dedicated skateboard wheel companies. See what you like and try them out. You can find many of these wheels and links to great places to buy skateboard wheels at www.SkateboardPlanet.net on the internet.

Bones Skateboard Wheels
Bones makes some really good skateboard wheels. They have special wheels for street, skate park, and ditch skateboarding. The wheels are designed to avoid getting flat spots from sliding. They also make a wheel called the Bones 100s which are a great combination of high quality and good price.

Spitfire Skateboard Wheels
Spitfire skateboard wheels are some of the most popular wheels on the market. They are high quality skateboard wheels made in the United States and guaranteed to be defect free. Spitfire has a large selection of wheels including special vented wheels that are supposed to go faster.

Pig Skateboard Wheels
Pig has been making skateboard wheels for quite a while. They have a large variety of wheel styles and colors. They also have some wheels that have an air core which are lighter and a line pro team wheels.

Mini Logo Skateboard Wheels
Mini Logo wheels are made by a division of Powell. The idea is that you get the same wheels Powell markets without the fancy logos or pro skater endorsements. The wheels won’t look as good as the premium wheels, but will perform the same. This way you get high quality skateboard wheels without the high prices. Considering that the logos get worn off pretty quickly, this seems like a great option for wheels.

Abec 11 Skateboard Wheels
Abec 11 specializes in making larger wheels for downhill and slalom skating. The wheels are softer and considerably larger than normal skateboard wheels. The 97 mm Flywheels are twice the size of normal skateboard wheels. They also make Retro wheels.

Better Skateboard Wheels
The Better Skateboard Wheels company has an interesting story. It was stared by a group of skateboarder parents who were tired of spending so much money on skateboarding wheels. These wheels are made in the United States and are a high quality wheel at a great price. The downside is that they aren’t fancy and there really aren’t any specialty wheels, but this works fine for many skateboarders.

Pro Company Skateboard Wheels
There are tons of other skateboard wheels available. Virtually every professional skateboard company offers their own specialty wheels now. If Plan B is your favorite, you can get Plan B wheels to match your deck. Birdhouse, Element, and many of the other big companies do the same. You may not get the specialty wheels this way, but for most skateboarders, looking good is the top priority anyways so matching wheels are great!

Good luck on finding the perfect wheels for your skateboard. The choice is up to you and as long as you like what you picked out, you have the best wheel for you. Check out all the skateboarding equipment at www.SkateboardPlanet.net for some great deals.

If a fishing venture or fishing trip in the beauty of Alaska isn’t your gig but you love your time as an angler on the water, then how about a fishing expedition at the other end of the U.S. in Florida?.

Fort Lauderdale sport fishing is one of the area’s biggest tourism generators. Because Fort Lauderdale and its nearby suburbs provides both saltwater and freshwater fishing, anglers can enjoy a deep sea experience, leisurely fly fishing or even bottom fishing.

The area is teeming with fishing charter companies and crews that can change every year. For the best experience, check out the resources below to find up-to-date referrals and fishing information.

The IGFA (International Game Fish Association) - World Fishing Center

Probably the best resource at the World Fishing Center are the on-site librarians who can offer you a complete list of highly recommended and IGFA (International Game Fish Association) endorsed fishing guides and boat captains. The complex also houses a 3-acre park, library, museum and a state-of-the-art fishing simulator.

You can reach the IGFA headquarters at 1-954-927-2628 or contact the World Fishing Center directly at 1-954-922-4212 or online at igfa.org. The library and museum are open daily from 10 am to 6 pm.

The Hall of Fame Marina

The Hall of Fame Marina, on Seabreeze Boulevard, is full of captains and charter fishing companies, all clamoring for your Fort Lauderdale sport fishing business. Going down to take a look lets you inspect the boats in person, develop a rapport with local captains and often garner a better price.

Pier 66 Marina

The Pier 66 Marina is another hot spot for charter fishing boats. So, take a stroll down SE 17th Street and visit the boats, meet the crews and negotiate a price. If you’re still unsure, try asking at the IGFA or even your hotel concierge desk for a recommendation.

Hillsboro Inlet Charters

Actually located in Pompano Beach, Hillsboro Charters are recommended by both Fodor’s Florida guide and Frommer’s. The company operates over a dozen charter vessels and tracks marlin, shark, sailfish and pompano. You can contact them by phone at 954-943-8222 to make a reservation.

What You Can Expect to Pay

For bottom fishing, most boats charge about $40 per person for a 4-hour trip and will typically include reel, rod and bait. For private charters, expect to pay around $350 for a six-person, half-day trip and about $600 for a full day adventure.

Nearby cities and municipalities like Dania Beach, Pompano Beach, Lauderdale by the Sea and Deerfield Beach also offer free or very reasonably priced fishing piers for anglers who prefer a more relaxed, Fort Lauderdale sport fishing experience. Most also offer visitors rod-and-reel rentals for less than $10 a day.

When you go camping, if there is one thing among all your other camping equipment that is essential to a perfect camping trip, it is certainly your tent. The choices for picking out a tent may seem endless, so to choose the right one for you, below are a few recommendations.

From considering the size of the tent to its material, these tips will help you narrow down which tent will be most suited for your trip.

Who Will be Joining You?

First, you need to consider how many people will be staying in the tent. If you are traveling by yourself, then a single person tent should be fine for your needs.

However if you travel with your entire family, you may need a tent that has sufficient capacity for many additional people to sleep, and even some “rooms” in which to hang out. After all, once you’ve driven to a park and set up camp, it’s not like you can simply jump into an RV if you later determine you haven’t sufficiently prepared for the number in your party.

All tents should clearly state how many people can fit comfortably in them to help you avoid the packed-in-like-sardines syndrome.

Seasonality Matters

Second, look at where and when you plan to go camping. Depending on the season, you may actually need a different type of tent. There are many tents designed for at least three seasons, and some that are specifically geared toward only one.

Consider also whether you will be carrying this tent in a backpack or hiking with it. That issue alone may change your preference for the size or weight of your tent.

Consider Your Expenses

Third, factor in your overall budget. Tents can be very pricey once you start to get into the larger sized options. If you need to remain within a smaller budget, avoid the temptation to look at huge tents that have added rooms, such as screened in sections and skylights.

They may make you drool, but if you don’t have the funds, avert your eyes. Pup tents are the most budget friendly, but are of course very small. There are tents, fortunately, that compromise somewhere between the bare minimum and luxury.

Don’t Get Weighed Down

Finally, as mentioned earlier, consider the weight of the tent. Even some of the larger tents come in lighter weights so you can hike and carry it at the same time without too much exertion.

They fold down relatively easily but may be bulky or heavy, so you need to determine the most convenient means of transporting the tent to your site. The larger tents are best brought by car, whereas 2-person tents are normally fine for hiking.

What’s it Made Of?

By evaluating the tent material used for your particular camping season - as well as whether it offers any amenities such as mesh panels - you can more easily locate and purchase a tent that will truly suit your purposes.

Take the time to find just the right kind of tent because you will need it to protect yourself from the elements and give you the comfort you need to enjoy a great camping trip.

Within the New Forest three is really is something for all. There are miles of cycling trails, walking/hiking trails, boat trips along the coast considerable museums and historical sites to visit. There are 134 car parks open from March to November dotted all over the forest.

There are also many guided tours walking tours are available to help you make the most of your experience here. While one can drive through many parts of the forest, you will then miss out on some of the striking natural beauty to be seen whilst on one of the ranger-guided walks, or even horseback or bicycle tours if you prefer.

Within the forest, things happen throughout the year. No matter when you are visiting this fabulous National Park there are always experienced Forest Rangers and guides to take you through the wonders and beauty of the park. There are also a few good websites you can visit so you can make the most of your trip here.

If you’d prefer some history along with your scenery and walk, the forest can offer that as well. Besides the abundance of museums located throughout the park, there are many historical homes and villages to visit during your stay in the area. Bucklers Hard, where Admiral Nelson’s fleet was built is just one of these places.

The New Forest includes many miles of coastline and rivers along the south coast. There are many beautiful and historical sites that can be seen from guided boat tours available here. There are also for the more energetic many water based activities available such as sailing, windsurfing and kayaking. The visitors centre has considerable information and ideas for tourists seeking ideas about the park.

The New Forests status of wildlife preserve means that within just a short distance into the forest will mean that you will see considerable animals and wildlife within their own habitat. You really don’t even have to look that hard. Wildlife lovers could make a considerable list by the end of one day for all the species they are likely to come across.

Deer are in abundance here as well, as are all manner of birds, frogs and reptiles. At dusk, bats may be seen as they emerge for the evening. If reptiles are your thing, the forest has a Reptile Centre which is certain to both educate and delight children of all ages. Children will delight at the varied wildlife here and to be able to get so close to the animals is an experience to be treasured.

Whilst not actually a forest walk a trip to Exbury Gardens is a really rewarding experience. Situated in over 200 acres you can walk along the miles of pathways until your hearts content. The best time to capture the absolute splendour of Exbury is of course in April as all the shrubs and bushes spring into to life and again in September time. That said the gardens are well worth a visit throughout the year.

If your planning a trip to the New Forest and plan to stay over night there is a good variety of New Forest cottages in the region where you can stay which can be found on the New Forest guides website.

Also while you are in the area make sure you visit the nearby city of Southampton which is renowned for its shopping experience and museums.

When you’re planning an Alaska float fishing trip, the focus should be on the planning. Alaska sees over a million tourists every year and that means popular lodges book up fast, charters get reserved and you could get stuck without a seat.

So, plan ahead, book early and know the best places to be. To find out more on how to make your Alaskan fishing trip a hit, keep reading for tips on what to bring, the best season and where to stay.

What to Pack

Ideally, you want to pack clothes that will layer easily - keeping you prepared for hot sun, rainy days and cold nights. Choose a fabric like performance wool or a high-tech fabric that will wick away sweat, dry quickly if it gets wet and keep you warm at night.

Before you start packing all your heavy float fishing gear, double check with your lodge or charter company to see what is and isn’t included in your package. Of course, pack your favorite floats and lures, but many charter companies include larger equipment and safety gear.

Finally, invest in high-quality rain gear. While Gore-Tex may seem like the best choice, it is actually only waterproof for about four to six hours. So, though PVC rain gear can be hot, clammy and uncomfortable, it will keep you dryer for a longer period of time on rainy days.

The Best Time to Go Float Fishing in Alaska

The peak season for float fishing in Alaska is the summer, so it’s between the months of June and September. You’ll likely have warm, if not rainy, weather, great fishing and easy pickings on the water. However, the summer is also prime tourism season, which is why it’s so important to book ahead.

Great Locales for Fishing

Some of the best places for Alaska angling are

* Bristol Bay, the world’s largest salmon fishery which is also home to a wide assortment of other fish
* The Copper River Delta, a fast-moving water rich with trout
* The Kenai River, a place known for its massive king salmon, and
* Kodiak Island, home to great roadside and remote fishing locations

It’s hard not to have a successful fishing vacation trip, but with a little planning you can make any trip a great one. Just remember to hit the best fishing spots, go at the right time and pack appropriately. Also, always check with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game Sport Fish Division before you book a lodge or charter company. Their website is available at sf.adfg.state.ak.us.

I sent him because we had gone to Tennessee the other weekend to visit my uncle Tim and we left our English saddles over at his place, so now we need to get some new ones for right now because in my family we just can’t live without riding because riding is practically our life. I even got a tattoo on my right shoulder of a stallion.

Coleman is the true leader in camping stoves and cooking accessories. They have many different varieties of stoves including the Instastart, the Coleman Feather, the PerfectFlow, the Apex II, Gaz Turb, and the Ultralight along with the Xpedition and the Outlander. These are just a few of the choices. Coleman has many more stoves as well. The Outlander is a compact butane fuel stove that is lightweight at ten only ounces and fits nicely in a backpack. The Xpedition uses Coleman fuel and has two burners and works great at higher attitudes and in cold weather. The Instastart Butane camping stove is unique because of the design and has electronic ignition. It can simmer, cook and boil. This stove is so small and compact it fits nicely in backpacks or anywhere else you might need a pack up stove.

So what exactly are skateboarding shoes and why do I need them? Aren’t my basketball high tops good enough?

Well, technically, you can skateboard in any shoe. Just like with any other sport, you can play in just about anything, but a professional football player would never dream of stepping on a muddy football field with basketball shoes and a basketball player would never dream of stepping on the court in golf shoes. Virtually every sport relies on good footwork and skateboarding is not different. Without the proper skateboarding shoes, you will never be able to control the skateboard and your body the way you want to. To make it worse, you could get hurt for no good reason.

So what makes a good skateboarding shoe you might ask?

First a skateboarding shoe has flat, grippy soles that are usually wider than normal shoes. Sometimes, skateboarding shoes will have extra padding on the side and on the tongue to protect your feet when you are doing tricks. Sometimes, skateboarding shoes will be thin and flexible to allow you to have better feel with your feet. This type of skateboarding shoe will still have a flat bottom to give you maximum area to control the board with. Some other features that skaters might want like include reinforced sides to protect the shoes when doing ollies or extra padding on the heels to protect your foot and cushion the impact of landing after a jump. While it may not seem like it, there is a lot of research and design that goes into making a skateboarding shoe.

So who makes good skateboarding shoes?

There are a lot of companies that make skateboarding shoes. Some of them are the professional skateboarding teams and companies. Some shoes are made by the big name shoe companies like Nike. No one shoe or one company is best for everybody. Once you get the basic features you need like a flat bottom and the amount of support and padding you want, go with a shoe that feels good. Every foot is different and many times, the shoes from one company or the other will fit your specific foot and feel much better than shoes that are more expensive with a different company. Sometimes, the best fit is the most expensive too, but when a shoe is expensive it will probably last longer than cheaper shoes and feel better too. One last thing to consider is image. Make sure you will be proud to wear the shoe you choose and look good wearing it.

One company that has been making skateboarding shoes for a long time is Etnies. They have done a lot of research on making the best shoes possible and are commonly considered to have the best shock absorbing device for skateboarding shoes as well as snowboard boots. I would recommend checking out a pair of Etnies so you at least have something to compare other shoes to.

Vans produces some high quality skate shoes and has been doing so for a long time. They know what skaters want and many people have come to think of Vans as meaning skateboarding shoes.

You can check out another article on skateboarding shoes on squidoo or check out some great deals on skateboarding shoes at www.skateboardplanet.net. If you are looking for great deals on all your extreme sport gear make sure you check out SkateboardPlanet.net.

Regardless of what type of skateboarding shoes you want, make sure you try on several different types and find the one that fits you best. There is nothing worse than having bad shoes making you sore and keeping you off your skateboard. Don’t forget to make sure they fit your style as you also don’t want to be embarrassed to wear them.

Good luck in your search for the perfect skateboarding shoe!

If you’re thinking of fishing in Alaska, you should recognize the fish species in the area, understand their preferred flies and know what to expect. So, read on for a general overview of the fish species during your next fishing vacation in Alaska.

Pacific Salmon

There are four major species of Pacific salmon in Alaska: Chinook salmon (also known as king salmon), pink salmon, silver salmon and sockeye salmon or reds. They’re a great game fish, but usually less popular with cold water fly fishers than, say, trout or Arctic char.

It’s important to note that while Pacific salmon won’t eat after returning to fresh waters, they will still strike subsurface and surface flies. However, fly fishers need to be ready to take in what are a large and aggressive fish species. The king salmon in Alaska can weigh close to or over one hundred pounds.

Steelhead Trout

The steelhead trout is a unique rainbow trout that can swim in the open sea or large lake environment, but does spawn in connecting rivers. After their spawning, they’ll return to a large lake or ocean.

Because the steelhead is rare, fast and hard to catch, it’s a prized fish and a respected catch. On average, the steelhead will weigh between 4 and 12 pounds, but can go much larger in size in the Alaskan waters. To catch the steelhead, fly fishers need to be patient and persevere.

The Grayling (Trout Family)

The graying is a unique fish, easily identifiable by its high and broad dorsal fin and almost neon blue color on its body and fins. For fly fishing, Alaska graylings are both prized and easy to catch. The fish aren’t very discriminating and tend to go for almost any fly.

That said, Alaska graylings do have a few preferences. They tend to like active, moving insects, smaller insects and also dry flies. The fish will also feed on minnows and crustaceans, though traditional light flies seem to be the most effective.

An Alaskan grayling will typically grow to about 4 pounds, but they’re a tasty catch and well suited to the dinner table.

Alaskan Arctic Char

The Arctic char is a member of the trout family that prefers clean, clear and cold lakes or streams to survive. They are strong, active and aggressive, but also a fantastic catch. They predominantly feed on insects, minnows, aquatic worms, fish eggs and crustaceans. Most fly fishers agree that the Arctic char is generally more gullible than its trout cousins. For fly fishing, Alaska arctic char are plentiful and easy on any fishing trip.

I started my camping as a hobby just a few years ago. Initially, I was disturbed by the cost of outdoor camping equipment. Even though it is possible to look for cheaper camping gear, somehow it is quite hard to come by. Camping gear store try to promote everything to you. These include trying to sell you the latest outdoor clothes, high-tech sleeping bags, synthetic thermal underwear or whatever they can think of. It does make sense . But, what I didn’t know those item being promoted is only really essential for difficult and advanced camping trips that needs for camping emergency survival supplies. If you understand what you really need and what you can make do without, my dear friend, you can save a lot of money. Thus, making wise purchases will definitely help you to enjoy your camping trip even more.

A good friend of mine who I called “serious outdoors guy” stated that the top two critical stuff for hiking trip are hiking and sleeping. This might sound obvious, yet, many people don’t really follow it through to its conclusion. Let me describe further. You need outdoor camping equipment that helps you to hike and that helps you sleep. Meaning that a hiking trip starts with your boots. Hiking boots are critical. You shouldn’t spare any expense on your hiking boots. You need shoes that are heavy and padded enough, yet pleasant to walk in. You also need a pleasant sleeping bag. You can get cold at night – especially if you are up in the mountains. It is definite a worth spending in a good one. Here’s the tip. You are advised to look for a sleeping bag that is rated to 10° lower than you ever expect it to get.

Next, you need a great jacket. There is plenty of outdoor camping jacket that designed to keep you warm. A thermal jacket is a consumable investment as you can wear it anytime when you are not camping as well. They are nice-looking and well made. Most of them are getting more and more popular in urban areas. For your information, you don’t needs serious outdoor shirts for every step of the day. What you need is to get one with a cotton T-shirt, khaki pants, and boxers or thermal underwear. You need not to buy those high-tech thermals either. Plain cotton ones work well other than you are on an extremely hard and demanding trip. Though cotton doesn’t really make the best outdoor camping component, it is fine for most capacity. Lastly, you need a nice backpack. If you are just going for few days, you don’t need to buy an expensive one. Any longer, however, and you’ll be happy to have a nice internal frame hiking outdoor camping backpack. If you need more ways, you can always hop online for further research on camping equipment shops. Enjoy your camping.

Ultima Thule Lodge (ultimathulelodge.com)

Remote and pristine, the Ultima Thule Lodge is situated in the middle of the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve, the country’s largest, and has been listed by National Geographic as the area’s premiere luxury Alaska fly fishing trips company.

The lodge can arrange almost any type of day trip, but a lot of their focus is on fly fishing in Moose Valley. However, if your interest is fishing experiences, make sure you book in advance to get there during the peak salmon migration period.

By offering alternative day trips and other activities, Ultima Thule Lodge has set itself apart from the competition. Whether it’s a corporate retreat or family fishing trip, guests can choose between hiking remote glaciers, rafting the rapids or spending the day fishing.

That said, if you’re looking for a more rustic experience, you may want to look elsewhere as Ultima Thule provides a more pampered or luxury Alaskan experience.

Sadie Cove Wilderness Lodge (sadiecove.com)

Featured on ESPN, the Discovery Channel, the Environmental Magazine, “E”, The Travel Channel, National Geographic and Forbes’ magazine, Sadie Cove is widely known as one of the continent’s best eco-lodges. The lodge is run completely off the grid on a non-polluting wind, solar and hydro energy system.

They arrange everything from photo safaris to fully customized Alaska fly fishing trips, while pampering guests with an in-house chef, on-site sauna and incredible scenery. Despite the amenities and commitment to sustainability, the rates at Sadie Cove are fairly reasonable. They start at about $400 per night per adult for an all-inclusive stay - meaning three meals a day, use of lodge facilities, a private cabin, and fishing equipment. However, private fishing charters or fly-ins do cost extra.

Drifter’s Lodge (907-595-5555)

If you want a more rooted, natural and rustic experience, Drifter’s Lodge can offer it. The lodge is well-known and still comfortable, but much closer to the true Alaskan experience. They’ve been featured in The Lonely Planet, Time magazine and on the Discovery Channel. The bulk of their fly fishing is during the fall trout season.

The lodge has on-staff guides who know the Kenai River, know the fish patterns and are able to assist you to find great fishing locations and choose the best flies and casting techniques to catch your fish. They focus on techniques for rainbow trout, Dolly Varden trout and Alaska salmon, and are able to plan some of the best Alaska fly fishing trips available.

Camping can be a great deal of fun; however even when having all that enjoyment you still need to do it safely. Although chances are good that nothing will go wrong, you want to make sure that you are prepared if it does.

That is why you should abide by these tips for remaining safe while you are camping, even if you’re bringing along an RV.

Safety First

First, you should never go camping without a complete first aid kit. It may seem insignificant if you get a tiny cut, but with all the dirt, leaves, and water you will be touching it is in your best interest to have at least a band-aid to cover it up.

You should also carry a first aid kit to help with any allergic reactions, such as bee stings. Bring antiseptic, pain relievers for everyday headaches, and even a snake bite kit if you are going somewhere that is rather remote.

Be Sure You have Essentials

When camping, carry your basic camping equipment, such as flashlights to get to the bathroom at night. Along with this, it is imperative to carry a hunting knife, a whistle in case you get lost, fire starter for the same reason, warm clothing, and food even if you do not plan to stay overnight. You never know when you might get a little off the beaten track and need extra essentials.

Checking the weather before you leave for your camping trip is extremely important. Even if there is just a slight chance of rain, you should be prepared with waterproof clothes and a tent, as well as waterproof matches to light a fire if you need it.

When you first get to the camp site, check around for potential hazards. That includes uneven terrain nearby that you may walk over at night when it is difficult to see, as well as any beehives in the vicinity of your camp site.

You also want to make a quick check for any poisonous plants that may be in the area in which you are sleeping so that you can avoid settling near them.

Once on the Campsite

Most campers eventually light a fire, and although camp sites usually have a specific fire pit for your use, make sure that it is safe. Keep all flammable objects - including dry leaves - well away from the fire, and don’t allow your personal belongings to get any closer than 12 feet because of sparks that may jump out of the fire.

This includes your tent and clothes. And speaking of dangerous fire, you should never use candles or heating devices inside your tent at any time.

Lastly, you need to use common sense for your entire camping experience. Just because you are on vacation doesn’t mean that you should take a vacation from safety! This includes disposing of your garbage in the proper bins since garbage can attract unwelcome animals that you simply do not want anywhere near you.

Don’t panic if something negative does happen during your camping trip. As long as you are prepared for most typical camping dangers, you should be well positioned to handle it.

What To Eat While Camping

Cooking is generally done over a fire or on a grill. You should bring foods that are easy to store and keep fresh. You should include snacks for the trail as well as foods to prepare for each meal. Perishable items should be stored in a refrigerator or in a cooler on ice.

Breakfast

Slice up some mushrooms, onions, bacon and potatoes and grill in a skillet over the fire until done. Mix eggs with a little milk and pour over the mixture to heat until the eggs are fully cooked. This is a great skillet meal that is easy to prepare and clean up. Another easy meal to prepare is a breakfast taco. Cook some eggs and place inside a tortilla with cheese and picante sauce. If you feel a bit more adventurous, try a breakfast pizza using pre made crusts and eggs. You can cook the eggs any way you like them and add bacon, potatoes or sausage. Heat the pizza crusts over the fire and top with your egg mixture and cheese.

Lunch

Keep lunch simple and easy to prepare and clean up so you get back to your adventures. Sandwiches are a great lunchtime treat using easy to store and prepare foods. Sliced lunch meats with vegetables on bread make the perfect pick me up. For a hot side dish to accompany the sandwiches take some frozen French fries, chili and cheese sauce; combine them in foil, wrapping it tightly. Throw the package on the fire and cook until the fries are cooked through and then enjoy your gooey chili cheese fries.

Dinner

Dinner consisting of a hearty stew is a great option. Using canned vegetables, mix equal parts of your favorites in a heavy pot. These can include corn, peas and beans. Also add a can of chunk chicken and pre made barbecue pork. Add two cans of tomato sauce and two cans of chopped tomatoes and simmer slowly over an open fire for a filling stew. If you went fishing and were lucky enough to make a catch, fry it for dinner. After cleaning the fish, cut it into fillets. Combine one can of beer with two eggs until thoroughly mixed. To that add twelve ounces of flour, two teaspoons of baking powder and salt and pepper to taste. Dip the fish in cornstarch then the batter. Place it in hot oil and fry until the batter puffs. This is a great way to enjoy the efforts put forth after a day of fishing.

Trail Snacks

No camping trip is complete without snacks to prepare and bring while you are out on a nature hike. Walking and hiking is hard work so you should bring some foods that will help boost your energy. Popcorn popped over an open flame is a fun way to prepare the next day’s snack. Trail mix is a traditional option and is limited to only your imagination. Use a combination of hearty ingredients with sweets. Combine granola, raisins, chocolate chips, M & M’s, cereal, dried fruits and nuts. Use whatever combinations you like.

My favorite camping meals though, are made with pudgie pie makers (also called pie irons). They are made of cast iron or metal and have long handles. Our family uses pudgie pie makers to meal delicious treats for lunch and dinner. Bread is the staple ingredient in making a pudgie pie. My favorite is grilled cheese. To make one, butter two slices of bread. Place the buttered side down in the pudgie pie maker. This will prevent the bread from sticking. Place a cheese slice on top of each slice of bread. Close the pudgie pie maker. Place in the coals of your campfire. It will only take a few minutes for the pie to cook. Turn the pie maker after about a minute. Watch your sandwich closely. Depending on how hot your fire is, the sandwich will cook very quickly. Ham and tomato are also very good additions to your cheese sandwich.

Pizza pudgie pies are popular with our family too. Again, butter two slices of bread and place the buttered side down in the pudgie pie maker. Add your favorite pizza toppings. Close the pudgie pie maker and place in the coals of your campfire to cook. Be careful when removing pudgie pies from your pudgie pie maker. Both the pudgie pie maker and your sandwich will be very hot.

Another favorite type of pudgie pie that our family enjoys are dessert ones. Butter your two slices of bread and place the buttered sides down in the pudgie pie maker. Spoon in some of your favorite prepared pie filling (cherry or apple are our favorites). Cook in the fire and enjoy.

And of course, no camping trip is complete without making smores. They’re also very easy to make. Start by roasting a marshmallow over your fire. Once your marshmallow is warm and gooey, stick it on top of a graham cracker and a piece of a chocolate bar, and then top with another graham cracker.

Cooking while camping can really be a lot of fun. Preparing foods should be easy and require little clean up and use few pots and pans. At the end of the night, though, no camping trip would be complete without toasting marshmallows. Cut some branches and skewer large marshmallows. Hold each stick over the flame until brown and toasty. It makes a great, gooey dessert and an ideal end to your day.

The Evening Secret is a submersible fishing devices used to create a food chain “feeding frenzy”. You’ll find more information on the Evening Secret Fishing Weapon in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBUCpZRe3q0.

It begins by attracting the smallest organisms in the water, called “zooplankton”. Typically, most fishermen will see white clusters of organisms balling up throughout the fishing spot within 15 or 20 minutes.

Once that occurs, it isn’t long before the small bait fish come in to feed on the zooplankton.

Typically results will bring a swarming ball of bait, consisting of hundreds of baitfish - within 40 minutes from the moment the device is submerged.

Once the ball of bait is in your spot, the game fish will move in to feed. Your next step is to fish the outside edges of the swarming ball of bait to hook up with game fish. Of course, if you are going for bottom feeders like catfish, you’ll want to take your bait to the bottom, right under the swarm of fish.

When you get to your fishing spot with your gear and the Evening Secret, here are the steps you’ll use to attract the fish:

1. Attach the alligator clips from the Evening Secret’s cord to the terminals on any 12 volt battery source.

2. Attach a 5-7 pound weight using a string to the large plastic loophole at the bottom of the unit.

3. Tie a rope to the top metal clip of the unit, up to an anchor spot. This will support the weight of the unit, instead of putting the pressure on the cord.

4. Find a spot where you have caught some fish in the past - around some structure - and submerge the unit so the top it is 3-5 inches under the surface. It will hang vertically under the water. You want to look for spots with structure that are common fish “hangout” spots.

One big benefit that many fishermen overlook is the fact that you can catch all the live bait you want with a small hand net.

To fill up your bait container quicker though, use a cast or “throw” net.

The device works best in early morning, evening, and night hours. But also creates the swarms during the day, though usually not as big.

You can also use it from a boat (it’s common practice to attach it to the same battery on the boat), or from shore. Shore usage is a little more creative based on your situation. Anchor the unit from an overhanging tree, a dock, or a pier for best results.

Next, site back and watch the show - and get ready to catch some fish.

The unit will work on most species of freshwater and saltwater fish, and is even used by ice fishermen.

Get out there, and enjoy!

Out of all the recent studies done on the most popular walleye fishing contests known today, those in Canada stood out among the rest. Walleye contests in Canada are popular for many walleye anglers itching to catch the “big one.” (Warning: you can only use the Evening Secret Fishing in some of these contest and tournaments. www.metacafe.com/watch/1459072/evening_secret_bait_fish_catching/)

However, there are several other places around the country, and world wide actually, that have fishing contests.

Not all are associated with walleye though. In order to find the best contests that pertain to walleye, an individual is most likely going to find the results staggering to the north. This is because of the vast amount of walleye in the northern region.

Some walleye fishing contests are rather huge and the prizes are monetary. In some situations the fishing contests are for awards and trophies too. Many of the regulations or rules of the contests are for a variety of positions as well.

For example, there are some walleye contests for the largest walleye. Weight and length are taken into consideration. Then, there are those contests for the amount of walleye caught in a certain amount of time too.

Also, many of the walleye fishing contests that are popular are in the youth or among the young adult age groups. In these situations, some of the winnings include prizes, awards, and of course bragging rights. These bragging rights of actually winning a walleye fishing contest essentially go with all of the fishing contests.

Some of the more popular walleye fishing contests held in Canada are actually quite impressive. The first prize for some of these contests can range up to three thousand USD. That’s a great win no matter where you are from. It just gets better however, as there are many of these fishing contests held at several different times throughout the year.

Many of the walleye anglers simply find Canada irresistible in terms of participating in a walleye-fishing contest. This is of course what makes the most popular fishing contests to be located essentially in Canada.
Another popular place or location for walleye contests is known as “Lake of the Woods.” Considered to be one of the world’s best walleye fisheries, Lake of the Woods has really become a household name.

With exceptional numbers of walleye, Lake of the Woods can provide all-day action for those in search of these two common relatives. With a solid population of large walleyes present in Lake of the Woods, there is a good chance that someone will hit the 8-pound mark by the time the day is done.

With a seemingly endless amount of acreage, Lake of the Woods offers up endless fishing opportunities. Chasing walleyes over the open flats and breaks can provide consistent action for those looking to cash in on the ever-popular walleye. If you want walleye, you’ve come to the right place!

Many people often consider the walleye fishing contests and events as a vacation as well. And as such, these people diligently attend these contests every year. It is a sport to them, just as there are NASCAR and football fans.

RV’s, or recreational vehicles, are a very popular means of travel - sort of a camping on wheels. Not only do they come in many sizes and styles, but they serve as a great way to see the country without having to make hotel reservations, buy plane tickets, or spend a ton of money to vacation in style.

With an RV you get the comfort of your own home, yet can take it and its options wherever the roads lead.

By traveling all of the country you will see many of the sights that you’ve longed for, and can simply keep on going if you do not feel like staying at one particular destination. With family and friends together in your RV, you have a lot of time to spend together enjoying the scenery along the way.

Conveniences can be Costly

RV’s already hit the wallet hard, so there is built-in incentive to minimize expenses once on the road. Most contain all the modern conveniences of your own home, such as a fully equipped kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom. Some even have extra amenities that may include a built in television, surround sound stereo, and more.

The main down side to this wonderful mode of transportation is that they can really break the budget when it comes to fuel. RV’s do have larger tanks, averaging around 55 gallons in capacity, but the larger RV’s use a great deal of fuel.

Even the smaller ones can put a dent in your wallet if you are on an extended trip. That doesn’t even take into consideration the electrical usage drawn by many of the extra amenities.

Doing the Little Things

While fuel and electricity usage are a normal part of a recreational vehicle expense, there are ways you can lower your costs so you aren’t breaking the bank every time you take a family vacation. Simple steps like turning off the lights while traveling during the daytime can help you save money and maximize your electric usage.

The same can be said about appliances; if you do not need them, they should not be left on. Look instead for alternative methods of power such as the sun to provide light in the RV during the day. By buying an RV that can use solar power you will considerably lessen your cost on electricity.

Solar modules can easily be installed if you do not have them available to you. They are used to charge the RV’s batteries so that you are not expending all the electricity. This can mean additional and significant savings on your fuel, which is quite expensive almost anywhere.

Attention to Basics

Another way to save on fuel costs is to routinely change your oil and make sure you get a thorough tune up when needed. Attention to these details keeps the RV running very efficiently to save you money in the long run.

By understanding what it takes to run an RV and maximize efficiency, your purchase and subsequent use doesn’t have to be as expensive as you might otherwise think.

It would be a dream come true having a Yellow Hummer H2 while donning a pair of cool Sunglasses and a Hawaiian shirt, looks cool though but I think I would be spending over $50,000 for the vehicle alone just to have that soldier of fortune look. Driving a HUM-V is one of my greatest dreams and do Off- Roading or driving a specialized vehicle on unpaved roads, such as sand, gravel, riverbeds, mud, snow, rocks, and other natural terrain would be a great adventure.
Essentially a hummer is a great vehicle for traveling anywhere in the world like having a safari adventure in the tropical country of Africa, stereotyping Indiana Jones encountering tribes and hunting treasures and wiping off dust and dirt on Reading Glasses.
In Africa Off- Roading is the normal form of transport. Unpaved roads can attain ‘off-road’ aspects during the rainy season, when extra gears and four-wheel drive can become desirable or even necessary. Although In Western countries the term is frequently used usually more specifically for recreational pursuits.
Although this type of vehicles may look too unfit in city streets, it’s the macho look that counts for men HELL YEAH, but if you are pencil thin and you own a HUMMER it is not macho at all if you look like an antenna beside it. Just like wearing an eyeglasses without lens on it, even if it’s just Designer Frames but if you feel you look smart on it yet you can’t even answer a simple mathematical question that’s so stupid.
Just a reminder though before buying vehicles we have to be aware of the standards in the country we are in and we should be very particular with the terrain and conditions. For example we cannot use a left hand drive vehicle in Europe because their standard for driving vehicles are all right handed. This is not really a big deal though but we should be carefully aware of that. The terrain is also one of the things we should look up on we don’t want to drive low-rise cars on rough terrain do we? Or It will be damaged all over. Tires have certain standards for specific terrains unlike all terrain vehicles it is designed for almost everywhere dune, rocks and mud. So as we can see a Hummer is the perfect vehicle for anyone who are willing to travel around the world but one of it’s downsize is the size itself it’s just too over sized, occupying almost one lane of the highway unfit for countries with small roads like Asia unless we carry a bike at the back of the trunk.

How would you like to Save 50 - 60 Percent Or More Buying Discount Camping Gear

I’m going to tell you where you can buy clearance camping gear and save at least 60 percent or more!

My favorite place to buy new, cheap, closeout, discount camping gear at giveaway prices.

Why take the time to shop for cheap, discount or closeout camping gear camping gear? To save money!

If you want to spend by all means spend it on new off the shelf camping gear if that is what you want to do. Remember though you don’t have to spend every dime you have on camping gear and equipment to have a good time. Oh don’t get me wrong I love the look and feel and the smell of new- but I also like the look and smell and feel of having my money still in my hands too.

Spending hard earned money can really take away from the enjoyment of camping. Camping isn’t suppose to be a rich mans sport.

Camping gear is something you usually buy and then only use once or twice each year and put it back into storage until the next season so save your money when you can.

Most of this camping equipment is meant to last quite a long time. My Coleman camp stove which I bought used at a garage sale is at least twelve years old now and it works as well as it did when it was brand new. You can buy a used one that works like new or a new open box item for half the price of a new one. The same thing goes for tents, sleeping cots, lanterns or anything else you might need.

The Third Best Place To Buy Discount Camping Equipment

This is a no brainier. You can watch out for the sales pages in your local newspaper or pickup up the sales flyers for good deals on camping gear and save a lot by doing so. Especially during the off season. You can also easily spend an hour at your local sporting goods store and purchase enough new equipment to cover the cost of the entire trip if your not careful. That is unless you decide to buy used, discount and closeout camping gear where– that same money could easily have bought four times as much. That’s right, a lot of serious minded campers like myself are choosing to buy and use discount camping gear instead of the pricey new stuff.

If you want to buy brand new closeout merchandise locally I’ve found my best local sources to be: Academy Outdoor, Cabellas, Dicks Sporting Goods, Sears, and Bass Pro Shops. I have found that these stores always have sales on tents and other outdoor equipment. Watch out for their off season deals. Although this is a good way to buy it’s not the cheapest and for me it takes too much time for me.

The Second Best Place To Buy Discount Gear

Garage And Yard Sales-
Believe it or not you find new and affordable camping gear by buying it secondhand, and so if it doesn’t bother you that it has already been used, then you are sure to find some really great deals. Second hand doesn’t always mean used. About a year ago my neighbor bought a new never used dual fuel Coleman lantern for $10.00 still in the box.
These are great places to look for lanterns, sleeping bags, tents, camping stoves, and more. Everything you could ever want to go camping with can be found at these garage and yard sales and you can bet it will be far cheaper than you would in your local sporting goods or discount store. This camping gear is usually just as good as your new, it’s name brand gear, you can usually ask the owner question and the best part is that you are saving a lot of money in the process.

Get started by picking up the newspaper on Thursday and Friday and start looking at the garage sale ads as they will usually say camping equipment or fishing and hunting gear. These are the clues. Get over there as soon as you can because good deals sometimes go fast. Garage sales are good and you can find some really good deals but for my taste it’s a little too much work.

Choosing High school summer camps

When summer draws closer, kids have the choice of relaxing, traveling, getting a job or a summer camp. Most of them choose the camp which has become one of the most favorable choices of their life.

Choose high school summer camps that can be beneficial a lot for your kids in any ways. This will offer them a chance to make some of their own preferences and help them choose how to spend their own leisure time.

When children become free from their regular school curriculum, they get a huge choice in subjects which are offered. This summer time brings independence and freedom for those kids who attend high school summer camps.

Factors Responsible Behind Camp Selection

You will notice that high school summer camps vary in cost which plays an important factor for children when it comes to choosing a camp. There are also scholarships offered for those who need to have special financial help. They can benefit from such options.

Children are advised to ask the staff or alumni for specific details and about the main features of the summer camp they wish to choose.

A wide range of options behind choosing various subjects offer freedom of choice. If you children are taking special interests in the technology based summer camp options which features computer games, animation and programming then look for related computer camp options.

Without a good selection of camping equipment your camping trip could be a wash. Even if you’re one of these folks who have been going out and camping regularly, you could still be surprised by some of the great equipment being made now. Camping accessories are invaluable, the right equipment can make the difference between a successful trip and an unsuccessful one. If you haven’t done much camping so far, you should definitely spend some time researching this before you go. Not only to ensure your safety, but to make sure you have a lot of fun as well.

A really lot of great work has been done over the last few years to to bring old camping standbys up to date and even create new camping creations that you could never get before. When I think about being able to obtain cheap camping trailers the types of camping equipment that we have available to us now is pretty far out.

Now I’m not someone who thinks there’s anything wrong with folks who prefer to use very little and really experience nature. Even still, most of us prefer to sleep with our head on a pillow instead of the hard ground. And even those who do not prefer to sleep in a tent or cabin or RV can still enjoy all this great equipment for taking hikes and having picnics etc.

The real point that I think I’m trying to get at here is the idea that a certain level of preparedness will make you feel happier and more secure, and these are very real issues on a camping trip. Every so often an individual will be at odds with this opinion, but most people will not even give this a second thought: they want great camping equipment. By building up a good stock of necessary equipment you will be assured that you will be able to stay safe, warm, and dry, and commune with nature without hesitation or anxiety.

Some folks would tell you that this is a cop-out and that you should not indulge yourself this way lest you miss out on the real experience, but in my opinion this is the true experience that we are talking about. Camping is not only about experiencing the wilds, but in experiencing your own ability to manage, confront, and cope with the wilds. In this way the proper camping equipment can boost your confidence so that you are able to more fully experience the outdoors. Enjoy camping and enjoy nature!

Your Camping Equipment

Tons of different items that could be classified as camping equipment. Camping equipment doesn’t have to seem like a chore to get together, but you should still give yourself plenty of time to make sure you have everything that you need. Never bring along equipment that you don’t see yourself using, or don’t expect to use for more than a short period of time.

1. Rustic equipment:

Somehow, camping equipment goes against the very point of going camping in the first place - to get away from technology and civilization for a while. Even if you plan to live off the land, make sure you have an adequate supply of food rations on hand. So, outdoor camping tents go a little against the idea.

You will also want to make sure you bring along cooking utensils for over the campfire. You can get several different types of frying pans, skewers, and even bread toasters for over the campfire. If you are particularly fond of coffee in the morning, make sure to have your tin coffee pot and cups handy.

You can get hurt while they are camping, and so a good to include a first aid kit with your camping equipment supplies. Keep some medications handy for any bouts you may end up having with the cold or flu. Just because you are out camping, doesn’t mean you still cant be susceptible to all of the little things you are unprepared for.

A waterproof tent that you can take the top piece off and watch the stars. If you are really handy, you’ll have a radio with batteries in it, and perhaps not for the music itself, but to be informed of severe weather conditions that may be approaching.

The list of what you could use for camping equipment is endless and depends on how long you intend to camp for. Make sure you have an adequate supply of clothing on hand so you don’t have to freeze to death if you fall in the lake accidentally.

2. Stylish equipment:

It is a good idea to make sure you carry supplies with you in case of an accident. Depending on where you are camping, you could come across situations that would require medical attention. Of course, lets hope this isn’t the case for anyone on your next camping trip. Its just better to be safe than sorry. This is part of the how to camp knowledge.

So all you need to take along are those spare items inside of your house that will make your camping trip more enjoyable. If you like to be at home more than rustic camping, you need to make sure you are prepared to make yourself comfortable.

You should always place being dry and warm as a first priority when camping. You can’t do much of anything, after all, if you are suffering from hypothermia. People have done it for generations and you can do it for a few days too. It’s easy to see why camping is a great activity for the whole family.

If you are looking for another type of traveling experience, and prefer cruises to camping - read about bargain cruise deals.

Salt water fly fishing is one of the most exhilarating experiences you can have on the water. With modern fly lines and equipment, almost all species can be targeted.

There are several types of salt water fishing, inshore, fishing the Flats, Bayous, and Off-Shore, and you can always use An Evening Secret to make your fishing more successful.

Most Fly Fishing is done for inshore species, although tuna, billfish and sharks are becoming more popular. The favored quarries in the U.S. are bonefish, permit, pompano, bluefish, dorado, snook, speckled sea trout, tarpon, barracuda, mackerel, redfish, snappers, flounder, striped bass, sea bass, and other inshore species.

Salt water fly rods are different than freshwater rods, even of the same weight. Freshwater rods have smaller guides, faster actions and will break when tackling even moderate-sized marine fish.

You don’t have to mortgage your home to get good salt-water equipment, though. Unless you plan on regularly battling billfish, 100+ pound tarpon and large barracuda, a 3 piece, 9 wt. rod with a fighting butt extension is perfect for most salt water fishing situations. Boron and graphite have pretty much replaced all other rod materials, so that part is easy.

For tarpon and other large species, you might want to go up to a 10, 12 or even 15 wt. rod. Rods longer than 9 are useful mainly to skilled casters who specialize in long-distance casting. The average angler will not benefit from the extra length. A good salt water rod can be purchased for around $100.00. There may be cheaper ones out there, but I wouldn’t trust them. They will not cast good and will fail at the worst possible time. In fly fishing gear, you really do get what you pay for.

The next requirement is for a reel. A reel made for catching trout in mountain streams won’t feed the bulldog in the salt. Salt water reels have multiplying gears, stainless-steel bearings and strong disc-drags for fighting tough fish. Unlike most freshwater angling, you will be playing all salt water fish from the reel. And salt water fish can make such fast runs that palming the rim for extra drag is out of the question, unless you enjoy friction burns on your hand, hence the strong disc-drag.

Most salt water angling is done with a method of long-distance casting called shooting. A special short weight-forward section of line is spliced to several hundred yards of thin running line. It feels weird casting this set-up at first, but it grows on you quickly. The long-distance casts are necessary for wary fish such as permit, tarpon and bonefish. Oftentimes, you will be in very clear, very shallow water and the fish are ultra-spooky.

Once you have your equipment, you can decide where to fish. Practice your casting, especially the Double-Haul cast. You’ll be using it a lot to ’shoot’ line out. Casting lessons are very reasonable and a good investment. You can go to Fed FlyFishers to find a certified instructor near you.

Bayous and inlets are easy to fish. Just fish them as you would a bass lake, with a few cautions. This is where you catch sea bass, striped bass, speckled trout, redfish, mackerel, flounder, snapper, bluefish, etc.

If your children are fascinated by the moon, stars, and planets, consider buying them a child telescope. We are not talking about a toy or a pirate’s plastic telescope, but a real quality telescope designed specifically for novice star gazers. Now it is important to choose a telescope that allows for optimal viewing of celestial bodies while providing a clear magnified view of your targeted celestial bodies. This allows the beginner to enter the amazing world of astronomy and take an important step in better understanding their universe .

What Type of Beginner Telescope Should You Consider?

With fewer moving parts and a simplistic, well-crafted design, the refracting telescope design has been highly recommended by some experts as one of the best beginner telescopes. Others believe that an easy-to-use refracting telescope is the better telescope for novices. In making your decision, a good source of information is the telescope reviews found on many online telescope websites. But, whatever your choice, select the model that is tailored for new telescope users and one that can be set-up quickly and can be aligned and operates easily.

While a child telescope cannot offer custom or state of the art optics, ones from reputable manufacturers are generally quite satisfactory. A word of warning though — It is generally best to avoid “department store” telescopes. These are generally of lower quality and designed for mass production at the expense of quality.

Why You Should Start with a Beginner Telescope

The reasons we suggest that you start on a smaller scale is that you want to avoid the frustration of attempting to use an advance telescope without training and experience. A beginner telescope will afford you with a great number of opportunities to view the stars and planets while you learn the basics of stargazing. The cost of a child telescope% can vary from two hundred to twenty five hundred dollars, but we would suggest that you look for telescopes in the $300 to $600 price range.

So if your novice astronomer is ready to start on their journey to the stars, take a “right” at the Sea of Tranquility and fly yourself into deep space by visiting the Crab Nebula. Its really easier than you think, thanks to the strong magnification , precision optics and simple operating controls of the child telescope .

If you have even a basic knowledge of astronomy, you know that there are a number of different types of telescopes used for viewing the cosmos. However, it is the refracting and reflecting telescope that represent the two basic types of telescope used by today’s novice and professional astronomers. Of these two telescopes, the refracting telescope has the longest history and has been in use for centuries. Its design was developed around the 15th century and is still a very popular telescope in the twenty-first century. Actually, a refractor telescope is one of the oldest telescope designs still in use by today’s astronomers.

The Principles Behind a Refractor Telescope

The refracting telescope, sometimes referred to as a refractor telescope, consists of multiple concave lenses which allow the incoming light to be refracted, resulting in images that are brighter and larger. These qualities make the actual images appear much larger than viewing with the naked eye. These refractors gather the incoming light and bend it, allowing you to view objects from a distance. This magnification is what provides you with the ability to clearly view the stars and night sky. Even though refracting telescopes look complicated, the truth is that they are basically a series of concave lenses that refract the light.

The Advantages of a Refractor Telescope

The refracting telescope has a long history, with centuries of use and design enhancement. Over time, its design was repeatedly tested, resulting in continuous improvement of its design and magnification capabilities. This was a real benefit providing astronomers with the opportunity to determine the refracting telescope design’s strengths and weaknesses.

The refracting telescope has obviously been improved dramatically since the fifteenth century. Even with the improvement of refractor technology, it is the size of the refractor telescope that still poses a potential concern. As the need for increased magnification has presented itself, the refractor lens has become larger. This can result in a larger risk of defects or sagging.

The truth is that refracting telescopes have proven themselves across the centuries and, to attest to their value, have remained one of the most popular designs among astronomers. Regardless of the type of telescope you choose to scan the cosmos, the ongoing use and popularity of the refracting telescope provides assurance that it will be with us for decades to come.

Finding a Refractor Telescope

We know that it can be a little confusing trying to decide on the best refracting telescope to purchase. But what we found was that visiting telescope and astronomy websites that provide telescope user re
